Introduction
AFGRI is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our apprenticeship program and become skilled Tractor or Earthmoving Mechanics. This 3-year program offers invaluable on-the-job training and mentorship, providing a solid foundation for a successful career in the agricultural industry.
Program Overview
- Hands-on training: Gain practical experience in repairing and maintaining tractor and earthmoving equipment.
- Theoretical knowledge: Study N2 subjects related to engineering, mathematics, and diesel trade theory.
- Career development: Benefit from mentorship, on-the-job training, and product training at renowned facilities like John Deere.
- Qualifications: Earn a valuable qualification in Tractor or Earthmoving Mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintenance of tractor and earthmoving equipment.
- Stock control.
- Customer service.
- General workplace tasks.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Computer literacy.
- N2 subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory, and at least one of the following: Industrial Electronics, Engineering/Technical Drawing, or Motor Trade Theory.
- Matric certificate with relevant subjects may be considered if N2 qualifications are not met.
