Job Description:
Motus FORD GERMISTON has a fantastic opportunity for a LEVEL 1 APPRENTICE (MOTOR MECHANIC). If you’re interested in becoming a Motor Mechanic, this is a great chance for you. We want candidates to be part of the Apprenticeship program, helping with vehicle repairs under the guidance of an experienced Technician. You’ll need to meet MerSETA trade requirements, pass level tests, and become qualified within a maximum of 4 years.
Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Attend scheduled technical/level training courses.
- Help repair vehicles to gain hands-on experience under a Technician’s guidance.
- Study well for level tests to qualify in a maximum of 4 years.
- Assist with keeping things tidy – clean tools, maintain equipment and keep your work area clean.
- Follow safety rules and workplace conduct protocols.
- Do other reasonable tasks that may be needed from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Finish Grade 12 with good grades in Pure Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Have a valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
- It’s a plus if you have mechanical insight, technical skills, or related experience.
