Internship Opportunities at South African National Parks (SANParks)
Hey, future conservation enthusiasts! 🌿 Ever dreamed of working in one of South Africa’s incredible national parks? Well, here’s your chance! SANParks, the big players in conservation, are offering internships for graduates like you.
What’s SANParks all about?
SANParks is like the superhero of national parks in South Africa. They take care of a massive 3,751,113 hectares of protected land across 20 national parks. They get their superpowers from the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, Act 57 of 2003.
Internship:
If you’re a recent graduate with a National Diploma (NQF6/NQF7) from a South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI), and you’re itching to spend a year in SANParks, listen up. You’ll get a monthly stipend of R6030.70. But, here’s the thing – getting into this internship doesn’t guarantee a job with SANParks later. It’s like a cool adventure with no obligation at the end.
Who Can Apply?
Here’s the lowdown:
- You gotta be between 18 and 35 years old.
- South African citizenship is a must.
- If you have a Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma (NQF 6/ NQF 7) in the right field from a South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI), you’re in.
- Never had a job or been part of an internship program before? Perfect!
Location of the Action:
All the action happens at GROENKLOOF NATIONAL PARK (HEAD OFFICE).
