Matjhabeng Municipality is reaching out to young people from different areas who have the right qualifications to join a learnership program for a certificate in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement.
They’re doing this to help tackle the high levels of youth unemployment and give young people a chance to improve their skills and get ready for the workplace.
So, if you’re between 18 and 35 and meet the requirements, here’s what you need:
- Finish high school (Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate)
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Get clearance from the police showing you have no criminal record
- Show proof of good health
- Live within Matjhabeng
The training will be at Matjhabeng Traffic Training Academy and will last for a year.
Here’s what you’ll have to do:
- Pass some written tests and interviews
- Pass a physical fitness test
- Provide your police clearance
- Stay fit during the training
- Follow the rules of the Matjhabeng Traffic Training Academy
Now, here are some extra things to know:
- You might not get a permanent job right after the training.
- If you do get the job, you’ll need to do more training on things like firearms.
- You’ll have to wear a uniform, work different shifts, and work in all kinds of weather.
- And remember, you have to live in Matjhabeng.
If you want more details, you can call Mr. N. Mtirara at 057 391 3119. To apply, send your CV and copies of your qualifications to The Senior Manager of Human Resources, P.O Box 708 Welkom 9460 or take it to the Matjhabeng Municipal Main Buildings.
But keep in mind:
- Don’t fake your qualifications or documents.
- Don’t try to get special treatment by talking to someone important.
- Matjhabeng Municipality follows the rules for fair employment.
The deadline to apply is February 9, 2024. If you don’t hear back within six weeks, your application wasn’t successful. And they might not fill all the positions they’re advertising.
