Job Description:
Motus Honda Eastrand has a job opening for an Apprentice Level 1. In this role, you’ll work under the Service Manager and it’s perfect for someone who enjoys fixing cars and dreams of becoming a Motor Mechanic Technician. You’ll go through a four-year Apprentice Training Programme.
Responsibilities:
- Help technicians repair vehicles.
- Take out/put in vehicle parts.
- Lift vehicles and use trestles.
- Oil changes and lubrication (with supervision).
- Change wheels.
- Replace air and oil filters.
- Assist in various vehicle repairs.
- Deal with batteries.
- Clean and organize the work area.
- Attend technical courses.
- Perform other reasonable duties.
- Keep tools and equipment in good condition.
- Follow safety rules.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Need Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science.
- Preference for those with a Motor Mechanic Trade qualification.
- Having a Driver’s License is a plus.
- Must have a clear Criminal Record.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Technical skills are beneficial.
- Good with customers and a team player.
